Most recently, he served as a Gunn Boys JV Volleyball Coach and volunteered Assistant Coach for the Girls Volleyball team last season. Gunn Athletics is excited to welcome Aidan Seed as our new Junior Varsity Head Coach for Boys Water Polo. Coach Seed is a graduate of Woodside High School and a former standout player on the highly successful Cal Poly Men`s Collegiate Club Water Polo team. During his collegiate career, he was a consistent offensive contributor for a Mustangs program that regularly competed at the Men`s National Collegiate Club Water Polo Championship. His competitive experience, knowledge of the game, and commitment to player development make him a valuable addition to the Gunn coaching staff.

Gunn Athletics is excited to welcome Vivian Hurney as our new Varsity Head Coach for Boys Water Polo. Coach Hurney grew up swimming and playing water polo throughout the Bay Area. She began coaching and teaching swim lessons at the age of 16 and quickly discovered her passion for developing young athletes. She attended Foothill College, where she competed in both swimming and water polo, before transferring to San José State University to study Psychological Anthropology. While at SJSU, she was a founding member of the university`s Women`s Club Water Polo team.

Gunn Athletics is excited to welcome Paul T. Rubens as our new Varsity Head Coach for Girls Tennis. Coach Rubens brings a lifetime of experience and passion for the game of tennis. A California native, he played No. 1 singles at San Carlos High School before competing at the varsity level at Santa Clara University. Following college, he earned victories on the U.S. Satellite Circuit and has continued to compete at a high level throughout his adult career. In addition to competing, Coach Rubens enjoys coaching both youth and adult players, helping them develop their skills, confidence, and love for the game. Coach Medeiros brings 14 years of coaching experience at the youth and elite club levels, including work with MLS NEXT and the Girls’ Academy. He holds a USSF B License and a Master’s degree in Kinesiology.
